Miguel Portilla was born in Miami, Florida (1971). His passion for video games first started in the late 70’s with game consoles from RCA and Atari. At age 10 he taught himself how to program on his Commodore Vic-20 using the BASIC Computer Games book written by David H. Ahl. Soon thereafter his father hired a tutor to further teach him how to program in Assembly Language for the Apple][. His first original release was a BBS coded in Applesoft, along with his brother Alex, (on a Franklin Ace 1100) circa 1983. The BBS allowed users to play many door games created by the brothers. He has been designing and creating games ever since.
